Visas of Indians are being cancelled ‘massively’, reason revealed
The Gulf country United Arab Emirates is rejecting visa applications of Indians at an alarming rate. Due to the new strict laws of the Gulf country, it has become difficult for Indians like others to get visas, according to the Indian media The Hindustan Times.
The report published on Monday (December 9) said that earlier, when Indians applied to go to Dubai, about 99 percent of them used to get visas. Earlier, the maximum rejection rate of visa applicants was two percent, now it has almost tripled to more than six percent. Due to the rejection of visa applications, there is a huge financial loss. Because along with this, applicants are forced to cancel hotel bookings and flight bookings.
According to the new visa policy of the Dubai government, a tourist has to upload proof of his hotel reservation, flight tickets, return tickets, everything on their immigration portal. Apart from this, it has to be ensured whether there is a bank balance to go to Dubai. The tourist also has to show his last 3 months’ salary. Apart from this, a bank statement with a minimum of Rs 50,000 has to be attached as a PAN card document. Visa applications of Indians are being rejected due to these complications.
Meanwhile, Nikhil Kumar, director of Paseo Travels Private Limited, told news agency PTI, “Many applicants are not getting visas even after presenting all the documents of confirmed flight tickets and hotel bookings properly. However, the applicants have already spent money on buying tickets and booking hotels. They are suffering financially due to not getting visas.”
